Antique 18th C Canton Chinese Export Blue & White Porcelain Reticulated Dish

DATING TO AROUND 1770 AND PRODUCED IN CHINA FOR THE EUROPEAN MARKET, THIS IS A FINE EXAMPLE OF A RETICULATED HAND PAINTED BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN OVAL DISH. MEASURING 28CM WIDE IT IS 24.3CM DEEP. DECORATED WITH TYPICAL CHINESE SCENES POPULAR AT THIS TIME. IN GOOD ANTIQUE CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS OR CRACKS, THERE ARE SOME INCLUSIONS IN THE GLAZE AS SHOWN IN THE PHOTOGRAPHS.

ALSO THE PIERCING IN THE DESIGN IS A LITTLE ROUGHLY DONE. THE UNDERGLAZE HAS A SLIGHT CELADON COLOUR AND THE SCENES ARE WELL PAINTED AND WELL OBSERVED. A GOOD ORIGINAL PERIOD EXAMPLE TO ADD TO ANY COLLECTION.
