Chinese blue and white Kangxi mark and period plate (1662-1722)
Diameter: 25.6cm 10 1/16in. Condition: 3 shallow chips, slight fritting to outside rim. The chakra, or flaming wheel was a Buddhist symbol representing the Buddha's teaching and universal moral order, with the wheel supposedly crushing all superstitions and spiritual delusion.
