This is a good pair of early 20th century Chinese Dogs of Fo in excellent condition dating from around 1920. The pair are beautifully modelled with great style and character and are in the Sancai glaze colours of green, brown and cream that is characteristic of the Tang Dynasty. The pair are individually modelled, one holding a cub in the front paw the other with his paw on a pierced ball.
These have open mouths with teeth and fangs protruding and stunning stylised swirling fur to their coats which gives them dramatic appeal. The dogs are a good size measuring 22 cms high by 20 cms wide by 15 cms deep. These are in perfect condition with no damage or restoration. You are most welcome to call and collect from.
